Finola Reid is a garden historian with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Irish garden history. She is a contributor to The Irish Garden magazine and former TV garden show presenter. She managed the ‘Great Gardens of Ireland Restoration Programme’ and is currently involved in the restoration and conservation of Dowth Hall (UNESCO site). August 2018 Wonderful writeup and photographs in The Examiner national newpaper by Peter Dowdall on 25 August 2018 titled "The spellbinding gardens of Templebreedy". That month all entrance proceeds from Open Day went to CHASE (Cork Harbour Alliance for Safe Environment). Peter presents on RTE and TV3 television and on radio,
and is also the Garden Design and Gardening columnist for the Irish
Examiner newspaper. June 2017 In the newly launched book "The Open Gardens of Ireland" by Shirley Lanigan - which is one of the most comprehensive books on gardens in Ireland (with over 400 gardens described) - you will find "Templebreedy Grounds" making it one of the private gardens to see in Cork. January 2015 On Jannary 30th, B & Mike FitzGerald (Templebreedy Gardens @ The Old Rectory) were featured in the SKY1 garden series "Show Me Your Garden" with 2 other Cork gardens - Bruno Nicolai in Blackrock, Cork City & Harry Sexton & Erika Treutler (Pine Tree Lodge Garden) in Ballinacarriga, Dunmanway, West Cork - the 3 gardens in the series from Ireland. the debut showing of the programme on the 30th January, the FitzGeralds and the
West Cork garden couple, Harry Sexton & Erika Treutler, were in attendance for a get-together at BUCKLEYS BAR in Crosshaven. Some "Morto" (Mortification) Boxes were passed around for donations on the night for "The Society of St. Vincent de
Paul" charity.That was followed by a musical session with local talent including Tony
Lawlor and some of Crosser's finest choral members! Another fab evening at Buckleys!
